Conger Fishing Turns Into Pollack Session
Small tides + high pressure = very little time out of the marina to fish. Then just to top it off the Mackerel did a disappearing act and no sooner did I have the anchor down than a big bull seal turned up to spook everything! Some days are just like that.
Anyway after catching nothing on my frozen bait for an hour the Callig switched on and started hammering the rig that was supposed to be catching me some fresh Mackerel. Nothing more complicated than feathers baited with a bit of frozen Mackerel fished over a small reef.
Definitely not a Conger fishing session that will go down in history but still good fun. Also, this is the first time in memory that I’ve put a big bait down WITHOUT catching a Dogfish. History in the making.
